The twenty-three year experiment we now
know as the Greatest Party on the Planet -
Burning Man
has grown to 50,000 festival goers from its meager beginnings on
Baker Beach, San Francisco circa 1986.
At the center of this influential project is Burning Man's
Creator, Founder and Visionary,
Larry Harvey. The Project has
evolved, it is more than a festival in the desert, it has
become an International Movement. Spinoff organizations
like
Burners Without Borders and
Black
Rock Solar have people everywhere starting to pay attention.
During 2008 several of the
Burning Man LLC members have moved on from the Project,
leaving a void that has all to often been filled by the
enigmatic Larry Harvey. Over the
years Larry has been very gracious with his time to multitudes
of interviews, speeches, stories written about him and by him.
Larry now wants to give back to the Playa Citizenry, all those
that continue to see and buy into his vision of a Gift economy
year-after-year.
Win a Larry Visit will manage a contest in which you will describe why Larry Harvey ("Founder") of Burning Man should
visit your Theme Camp. Six prizes will be awarded. Each prize
will consist of a 4-hour visit by Larry. You will have four
hours
