Contest Rules

GENERAL INFORMATION: The sponsor of the Win A
Larry Visit (the "Contest") is SBS Consolidated ("Sponsor"),
having a place of business located at 5647 N Fir St., Gerlach, Nevada 89412 (a division of
AZcompuguy.com).
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN, AND NO OBLIGATION OF
ANY KIND IS IMPLIED. THIS CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED,
TAXED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES ENTRANT'S
FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT TO AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE
OFFICIAL RULES.
Contest begins on April 1, 2009 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard
Time and ends on July 31, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard
Time ("Contest Period").
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is offered to all
human persons age 18 and over as of the date of entry, who are
legal residents of any country on the planet. Employees,
independent contractors, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its
affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, advertising, promotion
and fulfillment agencies, and the immediate family members and
persons living in the same household of such persons are not
eligible to participate in the Contest.
HOW TO ENTER: Eligible persons (each an
“Entrant”) can enter the Contest by:
Submit an application thru the Sponsor's website:
Submit Application (the "Website");
Contestants will write a 3845 word story based on the following:
Describe why Larry Harvey ("Founder") of Burning Man should
visit your Theme Camp. Submission should include full Dinner
Menu, provided beverages and a detailed list of shwag the
"Founder" will be gifted.
Entries with less than 3845 words or more than 3845 words will
automatically be disqualified. Titles and
writer’s names are not to be added or included in the 3845 word
count. Punctuation is not a word and will not be a part of the
3845 word count.
Entry must be submitted with the following parameters:
11 point Courier font with a 1.32 inch margins (Top, Bottom,
Left, Right)
1.5 Spaced
Indented paragraphs
Consecutively numbered paragraphs
Submissions must be uploaded as a Word (.doc or .docx) or
PDF (.pdf)
file. Any files that do not adhere to our guidelines will be
immediately withdrawn from consideration.
Only one (1) entry per Theme Camp, is permitted during the
Contest Period. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized
account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of
entry. In the event of a dispute, each potential winner may be
required to provide proof that the potential winner is the
authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with
the potentially winning entry. By participating, Entrant agrees
to the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which
shall be final and binding in all respects.
THE PRIZES: There will be
six prizes awarded at the end of the
Contest Period. Each prize will consist of a 4-hour visit by the
"Founder". You will have four hours
2:17p - 6:17p with Larry to talk, entertain, feed and
of course adorn with shwag. The Contest will pick which day The
Founder will visit your camp. The dates: Monday 8/31 -
Saturday 9/5 - 2009. Sponsor will award the
prizes within 6 days after the date of the conclusion of the
Contest. An Entrant can only win one prize during the Contest
Period.
The winners will be notified by mail, e-mail and/or telephone.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-saleable. All Federal,
State, and/or local taxes, registration, license, title and
other fees, costs and expenses related to the prize awarded and
the Contest are the sole responsibility of the winners. No
alternative prize, cash equivalent, or other substitution is
permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
JUDGING: The winners of
the Contest will be determined by the sincerity, jocularity and
overall quality of the submitted story. Judging will be based on creativity and originality of
submitted story of why 'The Founder" should spend time at your
Theme Camp. Conduct of the Contest and
selection of the winners are in Sponsor's sole discretion, and
Sponsor's decisions are final and binding. Sponsor will be the
sole arbiter in any dispute.
OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS AND WARRANTY: Submitted
entries may not contain any inappropriate content (including,
without limitation, nudity, defamatory, pornographic, unlawful,
discriminatory or vulgar content or language) or else such
entries will be disqualified. No entries will be returned to the
Entrant.
ADDITIONAL TERMS: Sponsor is not responsible
for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected or
unsuccessful efforts to notify the winner. The winner may be
required to sign and return a liability release, declaration or
affidavit of eligibility, and, where lawful, publicity consent
agreement, all within fifteen days of notice to the winner as a
condition of receiving the prize.
If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails
to claim a prize, or fails to timely return completed and
executed declaration/affidavit and releases as required, prize
may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. By
participating, Entrant agrees that Sponsor, its agents and
representatives, and contest event entities are not responsible
for and shall not be liable for: electronic hardware or software
program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failure or
difficulties of any kind; failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed
computer transmissions; any condition caused by events
beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be
disrupted or corrupted; any hardware compatibility problems; any
printing or typographical errors in any materials associated
with the Contest.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend
or cancel the Contest at any time if a computer virus, bug, or
other technical problem corrupts the administration, security or
proper play of the Contest.
RELEASE: By participating in the Contest,
Entrant agrees to release and hold Sponsor, its affiliates,
shareholders, officers, employees, agents and representatives
and event entities harmless from any and all losses, damages,
rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with or
resulting from participation in the Contest, acceptance,
possession or use of any prize, including without limitation,
personal injuries, death, and property damage and claims based
on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
GOVERNING LAW. All issues and questions
concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and
enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and
obligations of participant and Sponsor in connection with the
Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with
the laws of the State of Nevada without regard to the
conflict of laws rules that would cause the laws of any other
jurisdiction to apply. Entrants hereby submit to the
jurisdiction and venue of the State and Federal courts of
Northern Nevada and waive the right to have disputes arising
out of the subject matter hereof adjudicated in any other forum.
MODIFICATION: Sponsor reserves the right to
modify these Contest Rules for clarification purposes without
materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest.
